About Our Organization

Fore The Children, Inc. is non-profit organization that was formed at the beginning of 2000 exclusively to run charitable events to benefit children from the Tampa Bay area whose choices in life have been taken away by cancer. With this in mind, the Annual "Fore The Children" Golf Classic was established.

Our first golf tournament was for a small boy named Jared. A small group of friends got together and organized a golf tournament in a very short period of time. We raised over $16,500.00 and had an enjoyable day of golf and fellowship. We decided at that very moment we would continue our efforts to help as many children as possible. Jared touched our lives and made it better.

Not only does Fore The Children, Inc. provide items needed by the family we also help families help themselves by providing financial support with individual fund raising projects.

Volunteers do all work done through our organization. No one receives compensation of any kind. 100% of money raised or donated goes directly to families. This is our way of giving back to society for all the blessings we have in our lives.

Our hope is that one day a cure for cancer is found, but until that day we want to make the life of a child a little happier. Most of the children we support live their life in a hospital or doctor’s offices. Many times one or both parents must quit or lose their jobs, as they need to be by the side of their sick child. Cancer does not just affect one person, but instead the entire family. With this in mind, we grant wishes from the family.

Children we have helped include:

Mandy - Fore The Children sent her entire family to a wonderful vacation swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove.

Zach - 6 year old Zach wanted this water slide more then anything else. Fore The Children purchased it for him.

Jordan - Fore The Children paid an $850.00 medical bill for the family.
